ENTERTAINMENT & REPORT; KYLIE JENNER TO RECORD ALBUM WITH TYGA

Kylie Jenner is ready to take on music. The 17-year-old reality star is reportedly working on her first album with help from boyfriend Tyga.

Us weekly reports that the youngest Jenner is taking vocal lessons and, according to mother Kris Jenner, sounds “amazing.”

She is also calling on brother-in-law Kanye West and her BFF Pia Mia for advice as she records the top-secret project.

But it’s Tyga who is her biggest supporter and is also producing the album. “He’s helping her write,” an insider tells Us. “It’s very Tinashe-type music.”

Jenner also recently changed her Instagram bio to “King Kylie,” a nod to Tyga’s Last Kings label.

Kylie is not the first member of the Kardashian-Jenner family to venture into music. Her half-brother Brandon Jenner is in the music biz, and half-sister Kim Kardashian also dabbled in music with 2011’s “Jam (Turn It Up)” featuring The-Dream.

NEWS; CHRIS BROWN, KENDRICK LAMAR TO PERFORM AT BET AWARDS

Breezy is coming to the BET Awards. The R&B superstar, who leads the pack with six nominations, is among the first performers to be announced for the 2015 show.

His “Autumn Leaves” collaborator Kendrick Lamar will also take the stage at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. The rap MVP is riding high off the success of his chart-topping album To Pimp a Butterfly.

Additionally, Zendaya and actor Michae have been announced as the first presenters for the 15th anniversary event.

Nicki Minaj ties Brown with six nominations, while Beyoncé and Lil Wayne score four nods each.

Hosted by Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross, the BET Awards 2015 air live on Sunday, June 28, at 8 p.m.

Additional performers and presenters will be announced in the weeks ahead.

NEWS: DRAKE TAKES THE STAGE AT APPLE MUSIC LAUNCH

It’s official. Apple unveiled its new streaming service, Apple Music, during the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in San Francisco on Monday. Drake, who is rumored to have inked a $19 million deal with the tech giant, took the stage following Apple executives Tim Cook and Jimmy Iovine.

Dressed in a vintage Apple employee jacket (which he purchased online), the Canadian rapper spoke about using Apple Music’s Connect feature to engage with his fans.

“As I’m working tirelessly on this next album, this comes at the perfect time for me,” said Drake, whose next project is titled Views From the 6. “Given the great success of my last mixtape, which went directly to iTunes, I can’t wait to incorporate Apple Music and especially Connect into what I’m doing next. I’m really excited about what I’m working on.”

He continued, “As an artist I can say, for all those kids sitting at home, it’s truly amazing to be a part of something that I believe in. This is something that simplifies everything for the modern musician like himself and the modern music consumer like you.”

Hip-hop stars mingled with Hollywood A-listers at the star-studded premiere of theEntourage movie in Westwood, Calif. on Monday night. A matching B.o.B and Sevyn Streeter made it a date night, while T.I. and Tiny left the kids at home and hit the red carpet. Wale ran into Ari Gold himself, Jeremy Piven, and Wiz Khalifa, Bow Wow, and Jermaine Dupri also came out to celebrate with the film’s cast and executive producer Mark Wahlberg.

Kid Cudi, who plays Ari Gold’s new assistant, snapped photos with his castmates. The Cleveland rapper-actor rocked a Beavis and Butt-Head T-shirt and ripped jeans, a far different look from his sharply-dressed character Alex in the movie.

“It’s dope for me to play a character like that. I didn’t want to play myself,” said Cudi. “I really wanted to try to give people a different type of character, a different type of persona of me.”

Entourage opens in theaters tomorrow.

R. Kelly has something for everyone on his next album. During his appearance on HLN’s“The Daily Share,” the R&B superstar revealed the title of his 14th studio album—The Buffet.

“Expect the unexpected. My next album is called The Buffet,” he told Rocsi Diaz. “I’m very proud of it. I’m having a lot of fun in the studio as I’ve always had. It’s not just another day at the office though. It’s just something very special.”

The album will cater to his diverse fanbase. “It’s all you can hear. I’m 27 years deep in the business. I’ve been blessed to do this music for so long and I’ve got a lot of great songs under my belt, fans love it, but I’ve got all different kinds of generations of fans now and I have to feed everybody.”

He continued, “You got hip-hop, you got old school music with the ‘Step in the Name of Love’ type music/’Happy People’ type of music, then you have traditional R. Kelly sensuous, sexual music. It’s just a variety of things.”
